It's winter so outdoor means out of home rather than out in the nature.
Meet my housemates, Kak Hana, a final year Medic, and Nadd, the same batch as mine. And there's Kak Suzy (not in picture)
When the smoothie arrived to our table, Nadd was wondering if I ordered that and I said no. She then went on saying, "That's why, I was wondering since when you start ordering cold drinks at restaurants."
Which immediately reminded me to KN when we were in Dublin having dinner at Warung Kita, a Malaysian Restaurant there. I told the waiter that I wanted Teh O Ais Laici, and he then added "Kurang ais ye bang."
We didn't see each other for almost a year and he remembered. And it's not like he always took the order for me when we hung out.
The same goes to Nadd, I can't remember telling her that I'm not a big fan of icy drinks, but she just knows.
It's amazing how people know things about you.
Not because they remember, but because they notice the little things.
Alright I admit I might have cheated a little bit with this one. I couldn't find anything 'starry' for today's photo but somehow the word 'stars' really made me think of something, like some kind of repressed memory or something (exaggerated as always)
And then I found this, the first ever picture I posted on my Tumblr.
This was my room back in Kuala Lumpur. The starry lights Ayah bought me at Danau Kota, the pink wall, the baby pink and blue bedsheet.. And there's the white HP Pavillion I have been using at KMB. Ahh. Memories.
On the laptop screen is a Skype snapshot of Izleen. My Izleen.
It gets more emotional when the PMC kids had their farewell dinner tonight, and they posted a farewell video on Facebook. That reminds me that amongst those who are going back next year, there are people who could mean the world to me leaving this cold strange land too.
The picture was taken when me and Izleen were Skyping, she was in Dublin doing her first year of Medicine while I was very much a lonely soul desperate for some love (pun intended) in KL. Couple of months from now, we are going to switch places. I'll be here in UK while she'll be in Penang.
First picture, so very semangat that I took out ze EOS550D (I've been too consumed into the Lumix TZ30 lately) and there you go!
The bright pink glow is actualy from an app on the phone, serving as a torch light. The light is obviously white, but the phone cover is bright pink, hence the colour. And no, I can't set the phone to home mode or the app will close. So I had to be happy with the notification mode.
Anywhooo, I had so much fun trying to shoot this! And this is one of the best shot that I could get at 8pm sharp (though the picture itself isn't really so sharp)
To be quite honest, this is another way an excuse for me to play around with the camera. I miss taking pictures and messing around with the apertures shutter speed and everything. But at the rate I'm going, who knows what's gonna happen next. I might as well be back to my own little coccoon.
