Malaysia & You Belfast 2014.

First off I would like to truly apologise to MnU 2014 committees if I appear on what were supposed to be committee pictures. It's not that I am desperate to be in the pictures, it's just that I am such a clingy wife that I prefer to be with him all the time. And it's mutual. When we go to events or our friends/relatives' houses you will find us together 90% of the time. Together as if, sitting/standing next to each other. Seriously. We just like being together. Holding hands is optional though. When people invite one of us to their places or events, they always make sure there's a spot for the other half. There was once back in college years when Adam had a committee meal or something and I came along and the committees all knew it beforehand - Adam always comes in two. And same here. Except that I'm such a wallflower so a group meal is out of question. Lol.

We really like each other you see.

This also explains why I am always by his side in most of the pictures.

MnU 2014 committees plus a clingy wife

The Director with his events Directors
Thic can't get any more confusing.

The fourth years with a wife and a girlfriend. There's Jit Tong's girlfriend, Melissa in white dress so that neutralises things a bit. Lol.

Family Day's dinner

I would definitely tahan the pain of walking the stairs in heels just for the dress. The dress I was wearing actually has a bustle that forms a small trail at the back. Added to the fact that it is already too long for me since petite sized dresses are almost non-existent, the stairs really accentuates the length of the dress. Gigih tahan sakit kaki pakai heels. Sanggup okay, sanggup!

The Director's girlfriend (2012) and wife (2014)

And finally. This.

The picture so beautiful I can't even D:

Of course he's my husband and I'm in the picture so I can be biased but who cares.

KMB 11/13 Graduation Day.

First,

I'm not too sure why do I need to have a little ✿ next to my name on this blog's title. I thought it's kinda pretty and for some reasons the lady inside me decides to show up while I was rummaging through new layout ideas in my own head.

**Updated: I removed the ✿ since the longer I look at it the more it annoys me, hahaha!

Second,

Thank you aunty.

You have no idea how much this means to me. There are times when I'm completely out of things to write and time isn't just on my side (read: alasan) that I feel like ignoring the blog forever. And by that, I mean, forevahhh. But then sometimes when nice comments appear out of nowhere, I would be like, yeah you go girl! (?) Anyway, thank you for the kind words, that's the whole point of it. You have no idea how this made my day (and it still does), THANK YOU.

Third,

IB.

Again, I'm not too sure how many current/past/future? KMB students read this blog now that I've left KMB and all its glory around four years ago, though every now and then I still get questions/enquiries about IB or studies in general, and sometimes random questions like why did I choose to be married (?) Yes, of all the things, hahaha!

Anyway, last weekend Tsara had her graduation at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). And given how loyal Adam and I are towards KMB, we tagged along. It was nothing like what we had back then. During our year, and that was in 2010, everyone was seated around numbered tables, with food being served halfway through the ceremony. We had gold as our colour theme, so everyone was dressed up in their best gold outfits. There was no robe nor graduation cap.

This time they had it done properly in a formal way. Guests were seated in rows, and food was only served after the whole ceremony was done. The only downside that I found a bit disappointing with this was that guests had to eat while standing - a bit like how rich people eat during parties and cocktail events hahaha! The good thing was that sooner or later we'd have to go through the actual graduation ceremony anyway iAllah, so why not start practicing now. I also couldn't help but feel that it was only right since KMB itself is an IB World School - the teachers and students deserve such grand recognition.

Graduation aside, I know how it feels when it comes to the uncertainties of doing IB. But kids, it ain't over till it's over (read in Tae Yang's Wedding Dress voice). Keep going, you never know what's waiting ahead of you. Tsara and her friends made it - Laila even got 43 out of the blue! (and that means honor roll man!) Well then there's the issue of placement. Of course, these are all rezeki, but work hard while we still can. Feeling nervous is normal, but do not despair. At least if we die, we die fighting.

Here's to an IB 45 and excellent semester 5! (??)

Some pictures to give us all motivation  - IB graduation okay la like degree standard what heheh.

Gratz T!

Especially in love with this picture. Awww

Finally last but not least,

The whole entourage!

Btw Tsara's going to Belfast. Yes you read that right.

It seems that my life will still be stuck around Leicester-Belfast for the next few years.

Okay la save on travelling cost what hahaha!

Hello Belfast!

Reaction when arriving UK

Expectation: HELLOO BELFAAASSTT LOOK WHO'S BAAACCKK!!
Reality: Oh, we're here already? Okay. *yawns* zzz

Yes people, I'm back in Belfast! (same sentence every time fly back to UK wth). You can expect great things from me now that I'm back -- and that simply means more blog posts since I'll be spending two weeks in Belfast before my class starts. And have I mentioned that Adam is having his paediatrics attachment throughout my stay here? So the story of a lonely wife begins pfft.

It was the first time I arrived UK in the evening at 6pm. And I was totally flattened! 6pm in the UK means 1am back in Malaysia and I could certainly use a good sleep after nearly 24 hours of travelling. Sigh. I've never had severe cases of jetlags before be it going home to Malaysia or coming back to UK but this time I was completely knackered. A little tip, try to arrive UK in your waking hours back in Malaysia or else all you want to do is crawl into your bed and leave things unpacked.

Now that I'm back there's a few things I need to take care of but first, Alhamdulillah, I thank Allah for this moment of serenity. The last weekend in Malaysia was the busiest!

Tsara's graduation, a lovely date with Izleen, late supper with Ms Yati at Mali's, and eventually a date with Ms Ima - last weekend couldn't get any better.

Anyway, the first thing that came out from Adam's mouth this morning when he peeked out the window was, "Wow, look at the hateful weather!"

Oh well, hello Belfast!

The three events.

A little update on current life, shall we?

I haven't been too well these past few days. Oh no, come to think of it, I think it has been going on for almost a month :O Nothing major, just some coughing, chest pain, general tiredness, fatigue, malaise, some muscle pain here and there every now and then, headache.. Erm what else?

Not sure if it's the sudden weather change, or the travelling, or perhaps Mylo coming home and changing the whole room environment? I can't really tell. Most of my weekends were packed anyway. To London, Sheffield, Cardiff, Belfast.. And finally home this weekend! At least before hitting USA next week anyway. Ahhh more travelling. Can't be any more excited about that -_-"

Speaking of USA, we found a new travelling partner! Or companion, rather, since us two are already partners heh. I'm not gonna reveal who she is at the moment, but apparently she's a random one too, which would make things more exciting! Except for our initial plan was actually to hijack her plan so that we don't need to plan (waa so many plans!) Now it won't work that way anymore since we do have to plan. And by that, I mean us three. Aiyaaa. Things get even funnier because all of us (I'm assuming she is, too) are random carefree people so planning isn't really our thing. But we reeeeeally have to get it done because she's leaving next week on 18th March already! Habislaa habislaaaahhh.

Oh btw if there's any of you reading this in the US, please please do let me know where to go what to do etc. Or if you've been to US, doesn't matter really. I'm kinda desperate now :3

Speaking of US too, I reeeeeally want to see Ara. Like reeeeally reaaaally do? It's sad that she's in Iowa, and her spring break started weeks earlier than ours. And we definitely won't be going to Iowa, for the distance is just too much! Tsk. There goes, bye Ara. Ohnooooooo.

Done with US. Here's something closer to home. I was in Belfast last week, for three things - 1. Adam 2. The Script concert 3. Belfast Malaysian Night. Number 1, the biggest event in my life. Number 2, oh yeah it was AWWWEEESOOOOMMEEEEEE (I honestly think this could be another contributing factor to my illness tssk). And number 3, well it was okay. Wait they deserve a bit more recognition there so yeah, the play was good, no, magnificient indeed. But I'm not a big fan of theatres and such, and there was no food, just some kuih! Alright call me bimbo for judging a Malaysian Night for its food, but noooo I looveee fooodd it's nothing personal just my own preference! And I did mention the play was excellent, did I? For a first timer, they did an amazing job, I must say. Though I still prefer food. Food. Food. What a true Malaysian I am lol. Or I could be bias, since last year Adam was the Director. But nooooo I'm very sure it's the FOOOOOOOOD.

But what I like most about this year's Malaysian Night was that we finally could act like normal people! Not really we, since I am apparently normal, but Adam.. Errr not too much? We chose to sit among the audiences, rather than with the VIPs. And Adam didn't have to go into the VIP room, yeay to that! Because I know once he's inside there, he wouldn't be able to escape, and that would mean leaving me alone outside ohnoooooo. To be fair, it wasn't really all normal for him though, since after the play he went to see the VIPs to say hi and stuff, and apparently some of them said this to me, "Oh yes, I heard Adam being married, finally, pleased to meet you." This happened right after I mentioned I'm actually from Leicester, so there goes, ohnoooooo again. The saddest part was, no one even bothered to ask my name, like hellooo I have a name? And not just Adam's wife or budak Leicester? Tskk. But there was this one Belfast guy (Lynn's friend) who greeted me and said, "Oh, I know you!" And when he saw me looking a bit awkward (I always am!), he quickly apologised, saying that it wasn't really a good introduction but yes, he does know me. Oh well at least I got to introduce myself afterward, uweee!

Told this to Ummi, Ummi said I might as well cherish the moment. There could be some point when we would have to live reeeeally normal so chill out for now, so yes, I'd like to thank Adam for taking me to meet people despite my awkwardness thank you love!

The Script-wise, I might post another entry for it. I think I've written toooooo long here there isn't space for pictures anymore. But because I'm so kind, here's one.

Danny and those eyes. Can die now.

Belfast Christmas Market.

Apparently Belfast has one of the biggest Christmas markets in the UK. And living in Taman Melati KL with Uptown Danau Kota to lepak wasting time at, you can guess I'm a big sucker for flea market pasar malam and the likes. So there I went to cure my Uptown cravings.

Belfast Christmas Market 2012

Belfast City Hall

I thought these are cute. All the green Christmasy things.

Little cacti disguising as Santas. Too cute!

Spotted on! I'd probably make my kids wear this if they refuse to eat their greens.

I think it's called a Continental Market rather than just a Christmas Market, though it really doesn't matter actually. But Continental Market does more justice as this place is sure packed with stalls selling stuff from other European countries.

Germany Apple Strudel

Germany sausages, I think?

Dutch pancakes

Holland

Italian Coffee House

French Soap

Spain paella

And finally, Northern Ireland's Chocolatier!

Well there are loads of other stalls but we were in a hurry so no pictures. Overall I'd say it's a must go for people who love festive seasons and lights and food and all the Christmasy feels, especially if you're a first-timer. Of course to be in Miss Selfridge or Debenhams during for the 'real' festive season aka SALE would be more fun, but it's nice to be a part of the celebration every once in a while. Or perhaps you could just do people watching if you're socially awkward like me. Lol.

Prague was cool (and cold)

Baru je semangat excited nak balik Leicester and feel the familiar warmness after few days of brain freeze in Prague, only to be greeted by this.

Sebab tak boleh terima kenyataan, pergi menyibuk usha weather orang pulak.

Haih. Tak boleh jadi. Kena tukar kampung halaman la macam ni.
